Address : Samcheok Beach, Gyo-dong, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do

Opening period : July 12th – August 20th
Samcheok has many large and small beaches such as Samcheok, Maengbang, Deoksan, Jangho, and Jeungsan. Among them, ‘Samcheok Beach’, the largest beach representing Samcheok City , is the best place to swim because the water is shallow and the wide white sandy beach is spread out.
In addition, there is a lush pine forest in the back, and there are many raw fish restaurants and lodgings nearby, so you can use it conveniently.
In particular, various photo zones such as Samcheok’s signature Sol Beach sandcastle and fish-shaped sculptures have been set up.
The operation period of Samcheok Beach is a total of 40 days from July 12 to August 20, 2023, and a shower room is operated during the period.
*Samcheok Beach will hold a 5-day Thumb Festival from July 26th to 30th.

It is a beach in Bukpyeong-dong, Donghae-si, and there are attractions such as an auto camping site, a sculpture park, and a rocking bridge next to the beach .
Chuam Beach is open for 40 days from July 12th to August 20th, and Chuam Beach is open for swimming from 9:00 to 19:00 from July 28th to August 6th, the peak season.
(3) Mangsang Beach

Mangsang Beach, one of the representative beaches of the East Sea region, is also a national tourist attraction recognized by the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. When you enter Mangsang Beach, there is a free parking lot in front of the Mangsang Tourist Information Center, so parking is very convenient.
‘Mangsang Clock Tower’, one of the photo zones of Mangsang Beach The red clock tower in front of the East Sea is the landmark of Mangsang Beach. In addition to the clock tower, there are many photo zones such as picture frames and lighthouses , so it is good to take a commemorative shot of life.
*This year, at Mangsang Beach , the National Men’s and Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship will be held from July 22nd to 23rd , and the Mangsang Beach Festival will be held from August 4th to August 6th .
(4) Daejin Beach

Opening period : July 12th – August 20th
Daejin Beach in the East Sea is also called the mecca of surfing! There are many surfer shops where even beginners can take lessons, so you can enjoy the waves 365 days a year. The beach will be open from July 12th to August 20th .
(5) Gangneung Beach
Address : San 1-1, Gangmun-dong, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do
Opening period : July 1st – August 20th
Gangneung also has many beaches such as Anmok, Jumunjin, Songjeong, and Jeongdongjin . Among them, Gyeongpo Beach, the largest beach on the East Coast, is the pride of Gangneung. Gangneung Beach has already been open since July 1st.
Gangneung’s beaches are also open from July 21st to August 6th, which is the peak season . Please note that there are restrictions on the entry of pets and the use of firecrackers during the opening period.
(*Gangneung Anmok Beach and Namhangjin Beach will be operated as themed beaches where dogs are allowed to swim .)
